Welcome to TendoSource. TendoSource is a free gaming opinion website resource for beginners and experts, based in the United States, North America. TendoSource was founded on December 22, 2018 by me, Wally.
The main goal of this website is to provide quality Nintendo and non-Nintendo game guides, news, and information in an upbeat and simple manner to help you learn more about Nintendo and non-Nintendo products, games, and hardware.
This page will help you understand this site’s mission and my intent.
TendoSource’s Mission
Gaming can often be a confusing or negative experience for beginners and even for long-time players.
TendoSource strives to be the exact opposite by helping you
- learn more about gaming in a positive manner
- have more fun playing games by providing understandable guides
What Is TendoSource?
TendoSource is an upbeat gaming site that is easy-to-understand for those who primarily play games on Nintendo consoles but who may also play on computers, mobile devices, or other systems.
This gaming site focuses on providing
- Nintendo-related gaming guides
- Non-Nintendo gaming guides
- game trailers
- new game releases
- game reviews
- shopping guides
- gaming industry discussion from a Nintendo player’s perspective
- many more game related topics
I established TendoSource in December 2018 to create a positive, beginner-to-advanced friendly website about games.
Specifically, this site focuses on Nintendo games but also other games and consoles from a primarily Nintendo player’s perspective.
Expect non-Nintendo game coverage from consoles I primarily enjoy playing including
- personal computing game platforms (such as Steam, Epic Games, Good Old Games)
- other game consoles (such as Xbox and classic systems)
I want to share the joy of games with everyone and that upbeat intent only gets stronger by the day.

TendoSource Tenants
TendoSource was founded on three primary tenants:
- be positive
- be clear and understandable
- be gaming-first
1) Be Positive
Personally, I believe games are best when played, enjoyed, and discussed in a positive manner.
Life is hard enough so gaming should not be. Games are meant to be fun.
Additionally, I am aware a vast amount of people can be critical, rude, and down right mean-spirited.
I also know people can be kind, open-hearted, and communicative.
Games are meant to be fun
Here at TendoSource, I strive to be the latter:
A positive and excited voice that focuses on games being fun rather than being an overly critical fanatic that primarily focuses on criticism and technical specification minutia.
I will, however, be honest and up-front about information (if a game has glaring issues, for example) when needed.
After all, criticism can be done in a diplomatic and friendly manner.
2) Be Clear And Understandable
Everyone should be able to understand gaming news and discussion without being confused, turned-off or bogged down by gaming terms, industry jargon, or acronyms.
I vow I will do my best to write and present information in a manner that can convey each topic with clarity for those who never played a game to gaming enthusiasts.
TendoSource is gaming made easy
And I will do this by avoiding industry language and over-complication to the extent that I can.
Gaming lingo may be required at times, but I will do well to explain terms as they come up and/or provide definitions and navigational links to help you best understand.
Furthermore, I intend TendoSource to be gaming simplified and it begins and ends with intent and the writing.
3) Be Gaming Focused
Playing games should be about playing games, first and foremost.
Gaming news, discussion, recommendations, and guides should also be enjoyable and helpful.
Personally, I want to experience games and game discussion in a healthy manner instead of using games to further my ideals or viewpoints on the world (other than promoting positivity and fun).
That is why–to the best of my ability–I will curate TendoSource posts in an environment that is free from the Three Ds: dirt, drama, and divisive issues.
Playing games should be about playing games
If you are looking for social commentary, hard stances at the detriment of others, and a viewpoint other than “games are fun”, this will not be the place to find those things.
Once again, the world is hard enough. Gaming is meant to be a fun, enjoyable escape from the hardships of reality.
Something to enjoy by yourself, with your friends, family, and others both in person and virtually.
TendoSouce is gaming made fun. So let us start enjoying ourselves!
