WALLY’S GAMING EXPERIENCE

I’m Wally(WallyGX) and welcome to TendoSource, my Nintendo-themed video game website. I have played Nintendo games and systems since the age of 3 and haven’t stopped since.

The first game I can ever remember is watching my mom play Tetris on the Nintendo Entertainment System, while the first game I can remember owning was a blue cartridge Nintendo game called Captain Comic my dad bought my from a pawn shop.

Today, I primarily play on Nintendo and PC.

Additionally, I have played games since the early 1990s, owning every Nintendo console as well as a couple Xbox systems, a few PlayStations, and other non-Nintendo Products.

This is why TendoSource will focus on Nintendo and non-Nintendo gaming information from someone who plays games primarily on Nintendo platforms.

Because, that’s how I play games. So that’s how I will cover games.

Makes sense to write what you know, right? I say so.

In short, I created TendoSource to bring fun and positivity back to gaming. My intention is to share my love and fond memories of gaming to you. From gaming guides, tutorials, and tips to articles, news, and videos, my goal is to focus on the fun.

In length, I created TendSource due to noticing a few things about humans, the internet, journalism, and how gaming has been traditionally covered by news outlets:

There is a lot of negativity and criticism instead of positivity and enjoyment.

I want to change this. I want to be the opposite. And I want to be bring happiness, fun, and joy to the forefront of gaming.

I grew up playing Nintendo Entertainment System games. I primarily cared about playing and sharing my love of classic titles (such as Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man 2) versus talking critically about a game.

As I grew older, I learned to share my opinions about what I did and didn’t like about a game in a non-confrontational, negative-free manner.

I WANT TO BE BRING HAPPINESS, FUN, AND JOY TO THE FOREFRONT OF GAMING.

How did I do this?

I realized I wanted to enjoy my favorite hobby while my counterparts wanted to make fun of me for playing GameCube over PlayStation 2 and Xbox in high school.

This is just one such example among countless others.

Outside of gaming, I had a rough upbringing and a long life that has taught me how to accept others of all backgrounds.

I learned to give the benefit of the doubt to all while living a forgiveness-first life. And I applied these experiences to gaming as well.

For example, I can say I love Darksiders 2 on Nintendo Wii U for example.

Yet, the game froze on me and had a few glitches here and there. But I would have still recommended it in 2012.

If a game is truly broken, I simply won’t play it or talk about it.

From a consumer perspective here on TendoSource, I will decide when to cover things and how to do so in a more positive manner.

Topics such as “Wait To Update your Game Because The Newest Update May Erase Your Save File” is nice and fine. This helps you as a player.

Topics such as “Lazy Developers Didn’t Bother To Add These Features” will not be covered. This is destructive. This gets a “no thanks” from me.

All in all, I want gaming to be fun. I play games to enjoy them and I will provide information with that tone and respect.

Gaming has been a passion for me for nearly three decades, I have been following gaming coverage for just as long, and I have made a career out of gaming for close to a decade.

I love games and I hope I can share my love of gaming to you, just without the pesky negativity and “club members only” mentality.

Thank you for reading! I hope you learned more about me and the site and I will see you in my next article.
