Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting an update with free content on April 28th, 2021.
This update will add access to various events and items that will be made available from May through July.

The Update
The April 28th Animal Crossing: New Horizons update will add access to various upcoming events in 2021.
This update will allow you to take part in
- May Day Event | 4/29 to 5/7
- International Museum Day | 5/18 to 5/31
- Wedding Season | 6/1 to 6/30
New content will be made available for each event, making this update a can’t-miss experience for new and returning players.
Additionally, the event will add new Nook Shopping seasonal items that can be purchased as well as wedding themed furniture that can be purchased from Nook Shopping and the Able Sisters.

In the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons game, time moves along just like in real life. This means that seasons will change, different bugs and fish may hang out on your island, and some fun events are on the horizon. Whether you experienced these events last year or will experience them for the first time this year, here’s a rundown of what’s happening in the next couple months.
To participate in the events, you’ll need to download a free update available on April 28th. We’ll talk about that a little later in the article if you need some help!
