Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a single player dice-deck-building game where players use dice instead of cards in a unique battle system in order to save their star system and universe.
Gameplay focuses on building a personalized dice pool “deck” from over 350 options (choosing from reliable, balanced, and risky dice types) in order to win battles against computer controlled agents of chaos.
High risk, high reward is this game’s gameplay motto.
The game also includes multiple playable characters to choose from, 16 difficulty levels to allow the player to customize their game experience, over 20 random events that affect combat, and more.
Should You Play This Game?
I suggest playing this strategy game if you like virtual card/dice games with fantasy elements, strategy gameplay, and randomized content.
This strategy game shares gameplay similarities with one of my favorite modern deck building games, Slay the Spire.
Expect approximately 11 to 60 plus hours of game time to complete this highly replayable strategy experience.
