What I Am Excited About This Collection
I am excited about MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics’ included games and added features.
Personally, I love playing the Marvel vs Capcom’s slate of games.
I played X-Men vs Street Fighter in arcades as a kid, purchased Marvel vs Capcom on the PlayStation 1, and played Marvel vs Capcom 2 in arcades and on my sibling’s Sega Dreamcast console.
So I am very much looking forward to playing these classics again as well as games I did not play much of when they were released.
New features added to this collection I am most excited about are the art gallery that has over 500 art works, the music mode that contains over 200 themes, training modes for each game, and the ability to save the game practicality at any time.
I always loved Capcom’s fighting game art and music so being able to view iconic character illustrations or listen to great tunes whenever I want is a blessing.
Learning how to play each game in a stress-free training mode is also great for casual fighting game players such as myself.
The same can be said for being able to save between matches while playing single player mode in order to pick up where I left at a later time.
Should You Play This Game?
You may enjoy this collection like I do if you enjoyed these games already or if you never played them but like fighting games, Marvel super heroes and villains, and Capcom characters.
Expect approximately a few hours to hundreds of hours of game time with this collection depending on if you simply play solo or dig deep into online competitive modes.

What Is The Plucky Squire?
The Plucky Squire is a single player action adventure game set in a magical fantasy realm in which the player must explore different locations and save the world from a variety of evil threats.
Furthermore, the game has a picture book vibe and includes both 2D and 3D sections that help it stand out from similar games.
What I Am Excited About This Game
I am excited to experience The Plucky Squire’s unique The Legend of Zelda inspired action gameplay and exploration.
The picture book setting and hand drawn visuals really makes the game feel like a fairy tale book come to life.
Furthermore, the two included modes–Arcade and Story–seem great to have as one caters to challenges while the other allows for more relaxed game sessions.
I am also liking the various accessibility options that allows players to tweak game settings.
For instance, there is an option that makes jumping across platforms easier.
And there is also an invincibility option as well as a “one hit kill” option that allows players to defeat enemies with a single blow.
The Plucky Squire seems like a great game to me as I am a fan of games with similar combat and exploration such as Cat Quest, Cult of the Lamb, and The Legend of Zelda games.
Should You Play This Game?
You may enjoy this action adventure game like I do if you enjoy the titles I previously mentioned, fantasy themed games, or grand adventures with combat and a host of options to tailor the game to your needs.
Expect approximately a dozen or so hours of play time (more or less a) depending on if you play through Arcade and Story modes or use the various assists.

Gameplay revolves around surviving five nights filled with tension and terror. Players must gather clues, solve puzzles, and evade deadly animatronics while navigating through dark environments.
What I Am Excited About This Game
I personally think Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit has a great visual identity thinks to its dark, creepy pixelated art design.
The game’s multiple endings (based on player choice) are also a standout inclusion which is great for those who like to find every hidden secret and narrative progression point.
This adds replayability for those who want to do everything there is to do.
Plus, the game’s previous release on computers in August 2024 has lead to overwhelming positive feedback from thousands of players due to its stellar soundtrack, compelling story, and creepy horror themed vibes.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit may be just the right game to play if you are a fan of horror games like I am.
This is a fantastic purchase if you are looking for a new game to play just in time for the October Halloween season.

Nintendo Switch Online Super NES September 2024 update contains four games originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in the 1990s, including two Japan-only releases.
The four games included in this update are
- Battletoads Double Dragon
- Big Run (Japanese Version)
- Cosmo Game the Puzzle
- Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (Japanese Version)
Battletoads Double Dragon is an action title similar to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games.
Gameplay revolves around exploring stages and beating up enemies along the way.
Big Run is a racing game originally released in arcades during the late 1980s.
The game has pseudo 3D visuals and drifting, driving gameplay similar to the Nintendo Entertainment game Rad Racer (made by Square Enix) and the arcade game Out Run (made by Sega).
Cosmo Game the Puzzle is a falling block puzzle game similar to Tetris.
The goal is to line up blocks that fall from the top of the screen in order to clear blocks already fallen.
Lastly, Kunio-kun is a a dodge ball sports game with arcade gameplay only released in Japan.
The game includes multiple stages to compete on, in-game items that power up players, and teams from various countries.
What I Am Excited About This Update
I am a huge fan of the Super Nintendo as well as classic games in general. This lineup looks stacked (puzzle game pun intended).
Big Run and Cosmo Game the Puzzle are my most anticipated games to play from this list.
These kinds of game’s were my mom’s favorites. Thanks to her, I grew up playing similar titles as a kid–Rad Racer instead of Big Run and the Tetris series instead of Cosmo Game respectively.
More games to play and more options for fun is always a good thing, I say.
Should You Play This Game?
You might enjoy this month’s Nintendo Switch Online lineup of games if you are like me and enjoy classic games you have never played, classic games you have already played, and games similar to these newly added titles.
Expect approximately one to five hours of play time for Battletoads Double Dragon, a few hours of playtime for Big Run, and as many hours as you like for Cosmo Game the Puzzle and Kunio-kun’s dodge ball game.

What Is Keylocker?
Keylocker is a Cyberpunk themed rhythm role playing game where you play as a singer fighting against a music-banning regime. Engage in classic combat (in which players and foes each take turns) infused with timed rhythm mechanics.
This game also includes seamless battles, a Music Show mini-game featuring original compositions (similar to Guitar Hero gameplay), and a morality system that affects the story’s outcome.
What I Am Excited About This Game
I really like Keylocker’s style, vibe, and the music selected for the game’s launch trailer.
Combining traditional role playing gameplay (similar to the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy series) with the music genre while adding a bit of Guitar Hero, Rock Band into the mix looks wonderful to play.
I am SUPER excited to try out the rhythm mini-game because I loved Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 2 back in the day.
And as a long time a fan or role playing games, I am happy to see this game has no random monster encounters and encourages exploration with multiple endings.
This provides a seamless play experience that encourages replayability to uncover everything the game world has to offer.
Overall, Keylocker has me pumped to play. I am really looking forward to hearing the game’s presumably stellar soundtrack.
This is a surprise release that looks well polished and well made.

You might enjoy this music based role playing game if you enjoy traditional role playing games like Final Fantasy, a musical themed world, and pixelated visuals.

What Is Crossy Road Castle?
Crossy Road Castle is a multiplayer arcade game where players team up to climb through whimsical castles filled with obstacles and challenges. Players navigate randomly generated levels, using cannons and riding rainbows to avoid traps and defeat monsters.
This game includes single player sessions and multiplayer cooperative modes for a more chaotic experience.
What I Am Excited About This Game
Crossy Road Castle is my kind of game, thanks to its frenzied action and cute pixelated designs.
It is a mashup of the mega popular mobile game Crossy Road and multiplayer New Super Mario Bros. gameplay to the max.
Specifically, the game’s chaotic gameplay consisting of jumping, collecting, and navigating through trap-filled levels reminded me of the equally chaotic 2013 Nintendo Wii U game Cloudberry Kingdom I bought and enjoyed so much.
Crossy Road Castle also looks enticing due to the abundance of things there is to do.
There are seasonal challenges to complete for high scores and prizes, multiple towers (stages) to explore which each have their own items and enemies, and over 150 unlockable characters and customizations.
I love games that have things to do because it makes me want to play the game more in order to unlock everything.
And the fun will never stop thanks to each stage being randomly generated to ensure every play session–alone or with friends–remains fresh.
Crossy Road Castle is the type of game I can see myself playing with my family and friends on the weekend but also solo after work for the chaotic fun of it all.
Should You Play This Game?
You might enjoy this chaotic action game if you enjoy arcade gameplay like I do and if you are looking for a family-friendly multiplayer game for up to four players on one console.
Expect a few hours to perhaps a few dozen hours of game time (more or less) playing this game straight through.
Unlocking all characters, customization options, and more will take additional time.
Keep in mind this is a party game to be played with family, friends, and on game nights which means this game can last for as many hours as you want to play across months or years.

I love how the game lets players design machines to demolish fortresses and peaceful villages, offering endless possibilities for fun gaming destruction *cue maniacal laughter*.
You can create contraptions to crush windmills, defeat battalions of soldiers, transport resources while defending against enemy attacks, and do so much more.
If you like causing destruction, this game may just be for you.

ATTENTION: This game trailer is age-restricted by the developer because the game is teen oriented: the game contains blood, gore, and violence.
Expect approximately four to twelve hours of playtime destroying all kinds of stuff.
Loddlenaut – New Release
Loddlenaut is a relaxing underwater exploration and cleanup adventure set on a vibrant alien planet. Players become an interstellar custodian tasked with cleaning up pollution left by a mega-corporation.
Gameplay involves exploring an open world filled with colorful landscapes while using a bubble gun to remove goop and debris.
In addition, you can raise and care for adorable axolotl-like creatures called “loddles”, whose growth and abilities depend on their diet and environment.
I am all for cleaning up underwater pollution and taking care of virtual pets. Sounds like a good time!
Also, I personally enjoy Loddlenaut’s pastel visuals which reminds me of a similar relaxing adventure game called A Short Hike.
Loddlenaut released on Nintendo Switch September 19, 2024 as a digital download.
The game had a launch price of $19.99/£15.99.
Expect approximately three to seven hours of playtime cleaning up other people’s messes alongside your digital-pet.
Fashion Dreamer – September Update
Fashion Dreamer’s Free Update #10 includes new catalog items, color customization, and more. The download is free for all players and requires your game to be updated to Version 1.51 before accessing.

Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft – Collaboration Event
Overwatch 2’s World of Warcraft Collaboration is a special crossover event celebrating the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft. This limited-time event runs from September 17-30 and combines the hero-based shooter gameplay of Overwatch 2 with iconic characters from the World of Warcraft universe.
I think its nice players can earn free rewards–such as charms, sprays, icons, and name cards–simply by participating in matches during the event.
There is also an optional Mega Bundle available for purchase that includes exclusive skins of well known World of Warcraft characters (like “Sylvanas Windrunner” Widowmaker and “Lich King” Reinhardt).
Overwatch 2’s World of Warcraft Collaboration event began September 17, 2024 and ends September 30, 2024 on Nintendo Switch.
