What Is Eternights?
Eternights is a single player action dating game where players explore a post-apocalyptic world with their best friend and others, engage in combat, and spark romance.
Gameplay consists of participating in fast-paced battles against infected humans and monsters while scavenging for supplies and exploring dungeons.
Time management, environmental exploration, and daily training are keys to success in this anime adventure.
The game also features a unique dating system (similar to Sega’s Persona series) where players can build relationships with five distinct characters to unlock special skills to aid in combat.
Should You Play This Game?
I suggest playing Eternights if you enjoy action, dating, anime, horror, and silly games.
Because Eternights is a combination of all of those and then some.
This is one of my favorite games of 2024.
I beat it twice in order to view two of the many endings the games has to offer, and I enjoyed every moment of my two dozen plus hours of play time.
The game is relatively short but sweet while never over staying its welcome.
In fact, I wanted to play the game again the moment my first playthrough ended!
Thankfully, there are multiple difficulty levels and a “New Game+” (that allows you to start the game with most of your unlocked abilities) to keep repeated playthroughs interesting.
How Many Hours Of Play Time Can You Expect?
Expect approximately 10 to 25 hours of game time from this 3D action game if you are trying to view all endings and all dating paths.

What Is Core Keeper?
Core Keeper is a 2D pixel adventure role playing game designed for single player offline and up to four players online. The goal is to explore randomly generated underground mines filled with creatures, resources, and hidden secrets.
Gameplay focuses on adventuring through caverns for ores and resources.
Players will also be able to build bases and craft equipment, farm crops, and fight giant monsters in order to unravel an ancient mystery.
Additionally, the game features cooperative multiplayer for those who enjoy gathering and surviving the underground with friends.
Should You Play This Game?
I suggest playing Core Keeper if you enjoy cooperative-focused action games with pixel perfect visuals.
Really, this game looks and plays as if it was the offspring of the farming simulator Stardew Valley and Minecraft but with a flair of Square Enix’s action role playing Mana series.
This may be a super fun time for those looking for a game to grind, collect resources, and explore alone or with others.

Players can choose to control one of the four Turtle brothers—Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, or Donatello—as they explore New York City, where mutagenic ooze has created new mutants called “Mewbies.”

Blazing Strike is a 2D single and two player fighting game for Nintendo Switch that combines classic arcade elements with modern mechanics inspired by Capcom and SNK fighting games from the 1990s and early 2000s. Players choose one of fourteen unique fighters and engage in fast-paced competitive battles to become the winner.
Gameplay consists of competing against human or computer controlled characters across several games modes.
Versus Mode allows players to compete against a friend or computer opponent while Story Mode follows the journey of a rebellious fighter and his allies as they resist a corrupt government.
Arcade Mode confronts players with unique challenges with different obstacles to achieve high scores and Online Mode pits players around the world against each other for supremacy.
Of course, a training mode is also included if you are anything like me and need a few warmup matches to learn each character’s moves before battling others.

I suggest you play Blazing Strike if you enjoy 2D fighting games such as Capcom’s Street Fighter or Versus series and SNK’s Fatal Fury and King of Fighter series.

Fear the Spotlight is a single-player 3D adventure horror game with a third person camera perspective. Players control a student tasked with exploring the haunted halls of a high school after a séance goes horribly wrong.
Gameplay focuses on exploring the school’s dark secrets and solving puzzles. But doing so requires players avoid being detected by roaming monsters.
The game also has a 1990’s PlayStation horror video game aesthetic and takes inspiration from popular suspenseful, engaging horror games of that time (such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill).
