Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is a visual novel and action courtroom investigation collection focusing on gathering clues, speaking with people of interest, and solving crimes.

This contains two remastered Nintendo DS games with one never released outside of Japan until now.

This collection allows players to control the series’ main prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth, and adds action gameplay but still includes the visual novel courtroom experience fans love.

Personally, I love the Ace Attorney for its witty writing, colorful characters, and courtroom crime mysteries. These games rarely disappoint.

You may enjoy this collection like I do if you like solving mysteries, silly humor, and quirky characters with even quirkier names.

What Is Gundam Breaker 4?

Gundam Breaker 4 is an anime fighting game in which players build, battle, and break each other’s giant robots in 3D action battles based on the Gundam anime franchise.

I have enjoyed watching the Gundam anime series since the early 2000s and have liked playing fighting games long before that.

Gundam Break 4 combines both in one package with frenetic battles, a story mode, robot upgrades, and voice acting. A lot of love has went into this game and it shows.

You may enjoy this robot fighter like I do if you enjoy fighting games, the Gundam anime franchise, or just a fun action battling game that can be played online or offline.

4) Gimmick! 2

What Is Gimmick! 2?

Gimmick! 2 is a challenging action game similar to the Kirby series. Players navigate a colorful world, solving puzzles and battling enemies, by utilizing well timed jumps and special abilities.

The game also includes many secrets to find across the game’s numerous levels.

I really like playing Kirby games and Gimmick! 2 looks like Kirby’s cousin: similar fun gameplay but with its own flavor.

Gimmick! 2 definitely has more challenging levels which sets it apart which I find thrilling.

Also, I did not know that the original Gimmick! released in 1992 on Famicom (the Nintendo Entertainment System) but only in Japan and Scandinavia.

This is a sequel 30 years in the making. Wow!

Overall, I am very happy this sequel is being released worldwide for way more people to enjoy.

You may like this action platformer game like I do if you enjoy the Kirby series but are looking for a more challenging gameplay experience.

5) Elsie

What Is Elsie?

Elsie is a colorful action game with ever-changing randomized levels, robot enemies to battle, and a wide range of weapons to use. The goal is to utilize a variety of abilities to tackle each unique gameplay session.

Really, this game looks like Capcom’s Mega Man games dating back to the original Nintendo Entertainment System (a series I have loved ever since).

And this makes me super excited.

Elsie’s world and gameplay reminds me so much of the Mega Man series—there’s a robot doctor, multiple robots to thwart, thrilling stages to run through, and plenty of enemies to blast along the way.

It looks hectic, challenging, with a lot of fun to be had. Plus, gameplay is randomized which adds even more replay value.

Additionally, the pixel art and vibrant graphics really stood out to me as a fan of 1990s action games. Colorful and classic is how I would describe it.

So if you enjoy action titles or games with a Mega Man vibe and appreciate pixel visuals, you might just have a good time with Elsie just like I know I will.

6) Yars Rising

What Is Yars Rising?

Yars Rising is a single player 2D anime action-adventure in which players become a young hacker navigating an evil corporation. Gameplay centers around running, jumping, sneaking, and hacking through an expansive sci-fi world while unlocking new abilities and uncovering secrets.

As a huge fan of the Metroid series, I like how this game looks inspired by Nintendo’s sci-fi action series with interconnected labyrinths to explore, enemies to shoot, and tight corridors to sneak through.

I find this type of gameplay to be enjoyable and challenging.

The game’s colorful visuals and futuristic setting, meanwhile, are really striking, making everything pop with personality.

Also, I am huge fan of WayForward (Yars Rising’s game developers) and have enjoyed their past games, from Mighty Switch Force to the Advance Wars’ Nintendo Switch remake.

So I am really looking forward to playing their latest game and perhaps you are, too.

The Dead by Daylight: Castlevania update is a Castlevania series paid extra downloadable content pack add-on for the online multiplayer game Dead by Daylight.

This update added Dracula and Trevor Belmont from the Castlevania video game franchise to the online survival horror game.

An exclusive Charm, called the Vampire Killer (named after a legendary whip from the Castlevania series), has also been added.

This is a fun Dead by Daylight update for fans of the Castlevania series like I am.

I always enjoy seeing Castlevania get more crossovers and collaborations as it has been a favorite franchise of mine since playing Super Castlevania 4 on Super Nintendo in the 1990s.

What Are Splatoon 3 Amiibo?

Splatoon 3 amiibo are collectible figurines (called amiibo) based on characters from the game Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch. The amiibo can be used to unlock character outfits in-game by scanning the figurines on a Nintendo Switch controller.

Two new amiibo packs were released, and each pack contains two Splatoon 3 character figurines (4 in total).

Specifically, the Splatoon 3 Off the Hook (Side Order) figurine pack contains Side Order color variations of popular series characters Pearl and Marina.

Splatoon 3 Squid Sisters (Alterna) figurine pack contains alternate color versions of popular series characters Callie and Marie.

Amiibo figures are solid collectibles of beloved Nintendo and non-Nintendo characters.

My New Nintendo Game Suggestions

So which of today’s new Nintendo releases should you play? That all depends on your gaming personal preferences.

I personally recommend Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, Gimmickl! 2, or Gundam Breaker 4 (in that order) depending on your gaming tastes.

Why I Suggest Ace Attorney Investigations Collection

If you only have time to play one new game from today’s selection, I highly recommend playing Ace Attorney Investigations Collection.

Fun will be had as long as you enjoy courtroom mysteries and puzzle solving.

This also happens to contain two games with one being a game never before released outside of Japan. Talk about extra value!

I am a huge fan of the Ace Attorney franchise and just finished replaying the original trilogy of games and am looking forward to jumping into these two Nintendo DS remasters.

More Ace Attorney is always better, in my opinion.

Why I Suggest Gimmick! 2

Alternatively, I suggest playing Gimmick! 2 if you enjoy action gameplay that is similar to Kirby but with more difficulty.

This is a well polished adventure with music composed by David Wise who also composed the music for the Donkey Kong Country series among other games.

Gimmick! 2 is a gamer’s game reminiscent of classic 1980s Nintendo games: fun to play yet difficult to master.

Why I Suggest Gundam Breaker 4

Lastly, I recommend playing Gundam Breaker 4 if you want a robot action fighting game where you can upgrade and customize your character.

The included voice acted story mode and online battle modes simply provide more things to do with this one premium purchase.

Gundam Breaker 4 is a great pick for those looking for a well rounded game filled with features to keep one busy.
