The Professor Layton and the New World of Steam trailer showcased the puzzle game’s narrative driven focus, set in a steampunk world. The series specialty, puzzles, were also shown.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is the newest game in the Professor Layton puzzle detective series that started on the Nintendo DS in 2007.
This latest entry sees the return of the educated professor and his assistant as they explore an advanced town haunted by a gunman’s ghost.
Of course, the series’ iconic and fun puzzles return. The game includes the most puzzles’ in the franchise (at least over 148 puzzles going by what the trailer revealed).
What I Thought About The Game
I am super hyped for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
It looks to be the same Layton I loved playing on the Nintendo DS but modernized with more details and higher definition visuals.
And I am itching to run through the numerous puzzles packed into this one package.
I can safely say this is now one of my most anticipated games of 2025, big time.
